#DROPBOX CUSTOMER SERVICE SOFTWARE#
Though we make software that helps people work from anywhere, most of our employees came to an office every day. I didn’t realise Dropbox could have control over these folders that I assumed were just on my Mac! I’ve lost everything including projects I’ve spent so much time on. Dropbox has always prioritized creativity and collaboration as key to building a thriving business, and our office spaces were designed for it. Although it is somewhat more expensive than much of its competition, Dropbox offers tools like Paper, a unique digital signature, and Showcase, which we’ll touch more on later. Dropbox doesn’t even have a customer service phone number - I assume because they know they’d have so many complaints. Dropbox is one of many cloud storage solutions that let you access your selected files from anywhere that you can connect to the internet. I’ve been on the phone to Apple for 2 hours, but they couldn’t help in the end as it’s a third party app. I’ve been into my Dropbox account online and none of my files are on there or on the ‘deleted’ folder. Dropbox could not have charged you unless you gave them your credit card information, and the only way to do that is by singing up for a product or trial. It turns out that those folders were linked to Dropbox and uninstalling the program also removed every single file from my laptop. I just got scammed from Dropbox I used the site one time and the scammed me for a charge of 750 on my credit card You weren't scammed. Very quickly, I realised all of my downloads and documents were gone from my Mac. Dropbox was taking up a lot of space but I checked the folder and it didn’t seem to have anything important in, so I deleted the program. For a minor issue, we have been redirected to different 'support' chats. Limited support channels - No collaboration tools. The support for paying customers is unacceptable.

User interface could be better - Slow uploads and downloads. Recently, I needed to clear some space on my Mac. Quite expensive - No zero-knowledge encryption. For example, client services teams and creative professionals who already rely on Dropbox to organize and collaborate on messaging docs, presentations, and projects, can use DocSend to deliver proposals and track engagement, and HelloSign to manage contracts and invoices. I downloaded Dropbox a few years ago to keep some photos in.
